The 4th edition of #iamstrongest Awards carried a plaque and a cash reward to honour change-makers who have made exceptional efforts in helping animals in distress and shown extraordinary strength of character, courage, determination, and selflessness that underline the human potential for greatness, by making a positive impact on the lives of animals.

SharonPly honoured the following on the 12th of May 2023 at the #iamstrongest Awards 2022 held at Savera Hotel, Chennai.

Ms. Anjali Sharma – She takes care of 100+ stray dogs at her home in Redhills, Chennai. She collects food from 5-star hotels which otherwise would go waste as garbage, and processes it to feed stray dogs every day.

Mr. Sekar, ‘Birdman‘of Chennai – He donates 40% of his salary to feed 8,000+ parakeets every day.

Ms. Prabha Venugopal – She has been an active part of animal welfare for the past 11 years. She has been rescuing injured/sick dogs from different parts of Chennai and its outskirts, while she also handles legal cases of animal cruelty and abuse.

Mr. Shravan Kumar – He is an animal rights activist who has saved 2000 snakes, wild animals, and now runs a hotel for dogs.

Mr. Bomman and Mrs. Bellie – The couple who took care of an orphaned elephant calf named Raghu at the government-run Theppakadu Elephant Camp in the Nilgiris District.

The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Forests.
