Perhaps not many people see the value in educating children of sex workers. But thankfully, Prerana did. And thanks to their efforts many of these children have been rehabilitated and now have the choice to pursue a different career path from their parents. Priti established ‘Prerana’ to bring a change in the career choice of the children of sex traffickers. She thinks education will bring all the difference in their lives by setting the chains loose.

Sindhutai Sapkal's life continues to be a story of strength rooted in compassion. A story of inspiration that makes one believe in the adage that “when one door closes, another opens”. She has adopted and raised and protected over 1400 orphans - has fed them, given them education and helped them settle in life.

Born (as Pradeep) and brought up in a remote Indian village, Yashini had the passion to become a police officer since she was two years old but life had other plans when she discovered her hormonal changes during her late teens. Right from being abandoned by her family to being pushed into working multiple jobs, she faced day to day difficulties even before she could try to pursue her dream of becoming an IPS Officer. Her determination to achieve her dreams has set an example to the transgender community. Today she is a successful Sub-Inspector who performs her duty and proudly claims to be given the same authority as every other cadet.

If you had a chance to become a millionaire in a legally correct way, wouldn't  you jump on it? Sudhakaran didn’t. Like any usual day Sudhakaran was working hard in his small convenience store, in Kerala, when he got a call from a regular customer asking him to keep aside 10 lottery tickets. He set aside the tickets as requested and realised that one of those tickets had won the jackpot when results were announced later that evening!
